Welcome to the Colorado Rockies ~
Please enjoy this picture tour of Windsong and Summerhawk Valley!

The view over Summerhawk Valley just as a lovely May thunderstorm rolls through.

As fall enrobes Summerhawk Valley in hues of gold and russet, the last vestige of summer clings to towering cottonwoods and tall choke cherry bushes, which grow along the ridges and beside cold mountain springs that flow into Divide Creek.

A young mule deer buck "in velvet". "Velvet" refers to the soft, velvety covering on his newly formed antlers. Each year, bucks grow a new set of antlers in preparation for mating season.
The scrub oaks yield to the vibrant colors of autumn in this peaceful mountain valley.

This is a favorite place to think, relax and watch Divide Creek meander slowly by. Soon, winter will be here, this weathered bench will sit undisturbed, and the valley will rest till Spring.

As the first snow drifts upon the pinion and cedars high on the canyon ridge above Summerhawk Valley, many of our migratory songbirds decide to head south for warmer weather.

At last, the calm, stillness of winter has enveloped mountain and valley alike. But, May is right around the corner...
